Experience
US Military CW operator 1952-1956. Low band CW contesting. Dxpeditions:
2001 Pratas Island BQ9P & Liu Chiu Island BV9L AS-155. 2002 Myanmar
XY3C & Pearl Island XY0TA AS-165. 2003 “African Double Jump”
Botswana A25NN & Lesotho 7P8NN. First ham
license 1955 (K5GFN). AA4NN in 1977. Rag chewing on CW was my thing until
I discovered contesting, particularly on the low bands. Then, DXpeditions
became a reality. I enjoy visiting remote areas of this planet and working
CW pileups. I am manager of an ARRL Incoming QSL Bureau for the 4th call
area. I am Trustee of amateur radio clubs K5GFN, a Field Day Bunch and
K5ESE, Lake Wylie Mariners. I also hold call signs XY4NN, A25NN and 7P8NN.
I am a member of INDEXA and the Carolina DX Association. |
